Terms of Service

Effective date: 29 June 2026

These terms govern your use of GrowJourn. By using the service you agree to them. If you have questions, get in touch.

Using GrowJourn

GrowJourn is a choose-your-own-adventure story service for personal, family use. You may use it for your own enjoyment and with the children in your care. You may not:

Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must be 18 or older to create an account and make purchases. Children use GrowJourn through a parent or guardian's account.

Credits and payments

Story credits are purchased through Stripe and added to your account upon successful payment. Credits do not expire.

All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using credits you purchased, contact us and we will make it right.

AI-generated content

Stories on GrowJourn are generated by AI. Content is intended to be age-appropriate and imaginative, but AI systems are imperfect. If you encounter content that seems inappropriate, please let us know.

You do not own the generated stories. You have a personal, non-transferable licence to read and enjoy them as part of the service.

Service availability

We aim to keep GrowJourn available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund for unused credits where required by law.

Limitation of liability

GrowJourn is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and limit our liability to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Washington State.
